SERVICES TO CONSULTANTS

Visibility
ACN helps you market your consulting services to Chicago's nonprofit community effectively.  When nonprofit managers search the Internet for "consultants to nonprofits," they'll find the ACN website—and information about you.  The online directory is searchable by practice categories and by keywords.  Members write their own profiles describing themselves and their consulting services.

Professional Development
ACN helps you serve your clients better by keeping you abreast of current events, issues, and trends in the nonprofit world.  Our monthly programs address significant topics in nonprofit management and provide practical information about operating a consulting practice. ACN also hosts or facilitates various other networking events each year. You can review previous programs and check out the upcoming Events schedule online.

Collegiality
ACN combats the sense of individual isolation consulting work can cause. You'll join a diverse group of talented colleagues with whom you can exchange ideas and business referrals, peers with whom you can celebrate your successes or even share an occasional complaint.

Every ACN program designates time for informal contact and networking among members. These casual conversations produce business opportunities: referrals, collaborations, and strategic partnerships to serve clients.

Our members only newsletter keeps members up to date on ACN and in touch with one another.  Recent issues have recapped program presentations, introduced new ACN consultants, and enabled members to publish articles on nonprofit-related topics within their own fields of expertise.

Serving on an ACN committee, task force, or on the ACN Board lets you deepen your network of colleagues and gain hands-on nonprofit management experience, while you and your expertise help ACN to remain a vibrant, purposeful organization.Ready to begin enjoying ACN's many benefits?
