Amy Cornell, LCSW, Principal of Cornell Consulting, Inc., provides technical assistance to community-based organizations, foundations, health care facilities, and government departments to solve problems, plan and manage projects, evaluate programs, and build on the successes of their services.
Prior to becoming an independent consultant in 2000, Ms. Cornell held numerous nonprofit management positions. Ms. Cornell was the Director of Education and Training for a technical assistance agency serving nonprofit organizations in Chicago and throughout the state of Illinois. In this capacity, she managed the creation of a statewide case management training/certificate program that was based on best practices she helped establish in collaboration with key stakeholders in the field. She also served as the Director of Housing and Advocacy and was the Executive Director of a community-based cancer project.
Beyond her nonprofit management experience, Ms. Cornell has provided direct services in a variety of domains, including youth group homes, nursing and rehabilitation facilities, a domestic violence shelter, and a middle school as a school social worker.

Ms. Cornell earned her Bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her Master's degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago's Jane Addams College of Social Work. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
