GUIDE TO CHOOSING A CONSULTANT
Here are a few tips for finding a consultant online at ACNConsult.org Step One: Define Your Needs Identify the type, or types, of projects for which you are seeking assistance. Also consider the project scope, the specific services you may need, a general time frame, and budget. Step Two: Match Your Needs to a Service Area Consultants are listed under twelve broad Service areas in our online consultant directory. Many ACN consultants offer services in multiple areas. You can also search by keywords as you would in Google or any search engine. Step Three: Read the Individual ACN Member Profiles ACN member consultants prepare profiles describing their experience and services for this Consultant Index. Each web profile page offers contact information, including direct email and website links when available. Step Four: Contact and Interview Several Consultants We encourage you to contact several consultants to discuss your project and the terms of your working agreement. Members of the Association of Consultants to Nonprofits will welcome the chance to meet with you, and will be happy to provide you with references of their previous work.
