Company Overview
Giving Tree Associates strengthens nonprofit organizations through counsel and collaboration. We recognize that each nonprofit organization faces unique challenges. We’re dedicated to partnering with our clients to develop customized solutions that enable the long-term growth of the organization. We help clients build capabilities, develop strategic and tactical plans, and cultivate the leadership that will sustain their organization into the future.
CAMPAIGN MANAGEMENT – Annual Campaigns and Capital Campaigns
We work with clients to build a results-oriented fundraising strategy, and help manage the day-to-day details including budgeting, event planning, donor and prospect research.
Planning and executing innovative fundraising events are critical to achieving an organization’s annual and capital campaign goals. Giving Tree will ensure that events align with the organization’s strategy and meet development objectives.
A comprehensive strategic plan that has the support of professional and volunteer leadership is critical to long-term success. Giving Tree will work to develop a strategic campaign plan for board and staff to use for a broad spectrum of operating needs including: budgeting, recruitment, marketing, developing committee charges, setting fundraising goals, assessing programs and other organizational goals.
If an organization needs assistance identifying potential funders and writing grant proposals, Giving Tree can assist with every stage of the process and help the organization leverage these opportunities.
Staff and board must be able to work together seamlessly to execute strategic fundraising plans. Our experience working as professionals and volunteers in many organizations enables us to recommend board member roles and responsibilities, as well as help define staff roles. We will work with an organization’s board and staff to identify training and coaching opportunities and develop the resources needed to be more effective.

Testimonial 1
“When GTA came to our first meeting we had no fundraising campaign or lay leadership. Only six months later, we have a comprehensive annual campaign, a sophisticated and friendly donor database system, and an energized group of 15 lay leaders on our annual campaign committee. This committee includes alumni, parent, camper, community, event, communications, special projects, and membership chairs. Giving Tree was able to mobilize our staff and lay leaders around a dynamic and innovative campaign.”

Stefan Teodosic, Director, Beber Camp

“Stefanie and Lizzy from Giving Tree helped us implement an infrastructure that our organization desperately needed. They facilitated fundraising, organized meetings, created forms and sponsorship materials, centralized data collection, managed volunteers, collected donations, helped run the Annual Benefit and much more. Their work was always performed in an enthusiastic, professional and timely manner. Both Stefanie and Lizzy were a pleasure to work with.”

Suzanne Dunn Friedland, Co-Chair, Food Allergy Initiative Chicago

“We have thoroughly enjoyed working with Giving Tree Associates. They are incredibly professional, attentive, and available to answer any and all questions. One of the things I have found most valuable is their approach, as they truly partner with the nonprofit organization. Rather than simply presenting how we should do things, they developed specific materials for Camp Kesem, in tandem with our Board and staff. As a result, we were all educated along the way. I am confident that we will continue to see benefits from working with Giving Tree for some time, as we utilize the skills we have learned. I would highly recommend them to other non-profit organizations, and would welcome the opportunity to work with Giving Tree again in the future.”

Jane Saccaro, Executive Director and Mark Olson, Board Member, Camp Kesem
