Company Overview
I teach nonprofit leaders how to pivot from small-dollar donations to securing larger, investment-level donations so they can finally fund their missions. The leaders I work with are experts in their field, but when it comes to individual donor fundraising, they’ve simply never been trained on how to do it, so it feels uncomfortable and frustrating. I help them learn the exact steps to launch a mid- and major level gift program that feels comfortable, involves less dread, and fully funds their mission for the long-haul. I do this nationally through my 90-day LET’S GROW fundraising accelerator.

"Just wanted to give you a smile today. We have currently raised/have pledged $73,000 towards our $100,000 [event goal] as of today. It is just all those darn personal donor meetings! :) Thank you again for instilling confidence in me and for giving me the tools."
— Sandi Pickett, Executive Director

One of the most helpful tools I’ve gained is knowing how to solcit with a donor gift chart, knowing how to approach large asks, donor cultivation, and how to grow my donor base. The biggest impact is my confidence in fundraising and I’ve met or exceeded my fundraising goals while working with Sherry - she’s coached me to successful high 5-figure asks!

— Simone Halpin, Executive Director of Naomi's House

Working with Sherry on the LET'S GROW 90-Day Fundraising Program enabled me to develop the strategies, tools, and rhythms needed to not only engage with our Top 30 donors but to also invite them into deeper partnerships. The quality of information shared and the timeline offered provided significant value to our small but growing organization. I would highly recommend working with Sherry!

- Molly Raney, Executive Director of Houston Welcomes Refugees

Sherry Quam Taylor teaches nonprofit leaders how to pivot from a heavy dependence on program, government, and event gifts and into securing large, investment-level donations from individuals so they can finally fund their missions. The leaders she works with are experts in their field, but when it comes to individual donor fundraising, they’ve simply never been trained on how to do it, so it feels uncomfortable and frustrating. She helps them learn the exact steps to move into mid- and major level gift activities that feel comfortable, involves less dread, and fully funds their mission for the long-haul. Topic 1
HOW TO: Become less dependent on government, program, or event revenue (and grow individual donations)
Topic 1 Description
2020 proved to be overwhelming, to say the least. This is especially true for those of you who are leading your nonprofit’s fundraising initiatives. Has this time made you face the fact that your funding model was too dependent on government funds, large foundations, program revenue, or event donors? With all the programmatic and operational stress you’ve faced these last few months, how do you even think about what a stronger funding model looks like in the years ahead?

Whether a ‘major-gift’ from an individual is $1,000 or $50,000 to you, what are the things you should stop doing that will help you prepare for a better future of funding? Funding through diverse revenue sources is the name of the game – but if you’re not prioritizing mid- and major-level individuals, you’re leaving money on the table. So, what should be your future priorities? Join us where we’ll have a discussion about:

-I’ll show you how ‘overhead’ and your budget are your best-secret-weapons.
-Then we’ll talk about what you SHOULD be doing right now to build a strong funding future.
-What small to mid-sized organizations were doing right in 2019 that kept their funding super-strong through the challenges of 2020.
